This Week in AWS, Nov 16-2013

Amazon workspaces, a fully managed desktop computing service in the cloud, which would allow its customers to easily provision cloud based desktops, was one of the biggest announcements at re:Invent 2013.

Along with this,  AWS also announced two new services, CloudTrail to keep the track of API calls made on your account and Kinesis for real-time processing of streaming data at massive scale.

This week only a new addition was also made to compute-optimized instances. C3′s, the biggest ever instances offered by AWS and it comes with 2.8GHz Intel Sandy Bridge processor and solid state storage.These are designed to deliver high performance at a price that makes them a great fit for many compute-intensive workloads.
